About Accreditation

Concerning accreditation; The focus of Great Commission Bible College is getting the Word of God into the lives of believers around the globe, teaching and discipling those who are eager to learn how to live the overcoming Christian life. We do offer certificates of completion, diplomas and degrees, but this is NOT OUR FOCUS.

Great Commission Bible College has gone through a rigorous progress to earn national accreditation with the Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries (AICCS), which is one of the largest, non-government accrediting organizations in the world committed to academic excellence, intellectual freedom, ethical conduct, and moral integrity.

“Great Commission Bible College has filed and has been granted exemption from oversight by the Missouri Department of Higher Education due to its religious affiliation and biblical degree designations. Exemption status is subject to periodic review by MDHE.” For more information, contact MDHE at (573-751-2361)

Most Bible Colleges and Seminaries have their own criteria for recognition and acceptability of online educational credits. If your desire is to transfer GCBC credits to a Secular or Bible College governed by a US Department of Education, you should research to see if GCBC credits would transfer. Like many Christian Private Schools, Bible Colleges and Seminaries, GCBC has elected not to be governed by the U.S. Department of Education, nor to seek Regional Accreditation, which is more common among Secular Colleges and Universities.
